Indiana names Wisconsin's Yeagley soccer coach

<div id="subtitle">New coach, familiar name: Indiana names Todd Yeagley soccer coach</div><div><p>Todd Yeagley is following in his father's footsteps at Indiana.</p><p>Yeagley, the son of former Hoosiers soccer coach Jerry Yeagley, was named to the same position at Indiana on Friday.</p><p>Todd Yeagley, whose father won six national titles — the last in 2003 — in 41 years with the Hoosiers, was an All-American and national player of the year at Indiana, where he played from 1991-1994.</p><p>Before serving as head coach at Wisconsin last year, the 37-year-old Yeagley was an assistant at Indiana from 2004-08. He also played with the Columbus Crew in MLS from 1996-2002.</p><p>The Badgers tied Indiana for fourth place in the Big Ten at 3-3 after finishing in last place (1-4-1) the year before Yeagley's arrival.</p><p>Indiana fired coach Mike Freitag earlier this month, five years after he led the Hoosiers to the NCAA championship in his first season. Freitag was 86-32-19 in six seasons, ending his tenure with a third-round loss in this year's NCAA tournament.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=65688888&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
